Purchase and Procurement Specialist (m/f)

The Position

The role will serve as the subject matter specialist of the Indirect Procurement System in Europe/ROW and will also serve as the subject matter expert for processes and policies which manage the end-to-end procure-to-pay process.

Other regular duties and responsibilities are:

• Conduct an in-depth analysis and documentation of indirect procurement processes, workflows, gaps, and associated risks. Summarize the key findings and communicate their implications effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local purchasing regulations and guidelines.
• Optimize the value derived from purchases of goods and services by employing effective negotiation strategies.
• Implement appropriate sourcing strategies across all indirect purchasing categories, carefully selected to align with organizational goals.
• Provide crucial support to management in achieving corporate objectives and project milestones.
• Track, develop, and publish sourcing and procurement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and showcase industry best practices.
• Streamline the Procure-to-pay cycle time, from requisition creation to invoice posting, through careful process reviews.
• Conduct benchmarking exercises against industry-leading practices to identify areas of improvement within the procurement process and policies.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement initiatives, while effectively managing change within the organization. Additionally, prioritize requirements to enhance the procurement system effectively.
• Manage the relationship with the eProcurement Provider, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), resolving quality issues, addressing risks, and handling complaints promptly.
• Oversee the management of procurement systems to ensure their optimal functionality and efficiency.

The Candidate

• Minimum two years of experience in a procurement and/or sourcing role.
• Highly detailed oriented, with the ability to consistently achieve high levels of accuracy.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a focus on Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, or other pertinent discipline.
• Strong knowledge of eProcurement and ERP systems, including SAP.
• High level of proficiency with MS Office programs, including Visio, Excel formulas, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills, in terms of both data and process management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
• Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing in English is a must.
• Ability to cope with ambiguity, implement clear structures, and show organizational skills.
• Ability to act in and adapt to a complex and rapidly changing environment.
