Our client is an established upper-upscale hotel operating under an international brand, known for its high service standards and strong seasonal business dynamics. As a full-service resort with substantial volume during peak months, the property is now strengthening its operational leadership team and seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager who will play a key role in ensuring consistent quality, operational excellence, and seamless guest experience.

Position

The Housekeeping Manager will lead the full housekeeping function, overseeing daily room operations, team coordination, quality assurance, and alignment with brand standards. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing a large team during the high season and adjusting operations in accordance with occupancy levels throughout the year. The ideal candidate brings experience from international upper-upscale hotels or large domestic properties of similar scale, together with strong organisational capability, operational discipline, and proven leadership of sizable teams.

In this role, the Housekeeping Manager will plan and organise workloads, prepare staffing schedules, coordinate room readiness with Front Office, and work closely with Maintenance to address any technical issues affecting guest experience. The position also includes oversight of supervisors, onboarding and training of new staff, quality control inspections, inventory management, cost monitoring, and timely handling of guest housekeeping requests. The ability to lead with clarity and maintain stable performance in both high-volume periods and low-season restructuring is essential.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Operational Leadership: Managing daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released according to brand standards.
  • Team Management: Leading a large seasonal workforce, overseeing supervisors, and maintaining high performance and consistency across the department.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Preparing staffing plans aligned with occupancy forecasts and ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Working closely with Front Office on room status and priorities, and coordinating with Maintenance on technical issues affecting readiness.
  • Quality & Compliance: Conducting regular inspections, ensuring hygiene and safety standards, and maintaining consistent room and linen quality.
  • Inventory & Cost Control: Managing linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies, monitoring consumption levels, and ensuring efficient cost management.
  • Guest Experience: Addressing guest housekeeping requests and resolving complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Seasonal Operations: Adjusting team size and processes between high and low season, ensuring continuity and operational stability.

Candidate
  • Experience as a Housekeeping Manager in an international upper-upscale hotel or in a large domestic property (100+ rooms)
  • Strong familiarity with cleanliness, room quality, and service standards typical for upper-upscale operations
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate large teams (45–50 staff in peak months)
  • Excellent command of English, spoken and written
  • Strong organisational skills, reliability, and operational discipline
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Resilience, assertiveness, and confidence in daily decision-making
  • Experience with public area and meeting-room housekeeping is an advantage
  • Previous experience in seasonal hotels or resorts with significant fluctuation in staffing and occupancy is an advantage
