Client
Our client is a Dutch B2B SaaS company in a strong growth phase, with an established engineering presence in Croatia. Their software is mission-critical and runs in demanding, high-reliability environments where quality and safety are non-negotiable.

The product is a .NET (C#) application backed by SQL Server, with the frontend written in React.js, and it is being actively extended with AI-powered capabilities and rich, predictive data features. To support this next phase, we are looking for an experienced engineering leader to take ownership of one of the product teams and help raise an already high bar even higher.

Position
The Software Engineering Team Lead will lead a team within a larger engineering organization structured around product modules, balancing hands-on technical contribution with growing and supporting the people around you.

Key responsibilities include:

• Team leadership: Lead and mentor the team, and grow a healthy culture
• Planning & delivery: Prioritize the work and deliver against the roadmap
• Architecture & system design: Steer the team toward scalable, maintainable solutions
• Hands-on engineering: Stay close to the codebase and unblock the team
• Cross-functional collaboration: Turn business needs into clear technical solutions with Product and Design
• Engineering excellence: Drive best practices and safeguard quality
• Hiring: Interview and help build a high-performing team

Candidate

• 7–8+ years in software engineering, including at least 2+ years leading or managing engineers
• Strong C# background, or multiple languages with the ability to learn fast; comfortable with React
• End-to-end SaaS experience, with strong system design and clean, well-tested code
• Hands-on with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code) and genuinely keen to build AI into the product
• People-first: mentoring and growing others, always curious and learning
• Clear communicator in English, with a proactive way of solving problems
