As the business scales globally, the Data Operations team is building the foundation for advanced reporting, predictive analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. For our client, we are looking for a Data Engineer who will have the opportunity to work with diverse data sources, contribute to a growing data platform, and have a visible impact on business performance worldwide.

Position

Data Engineer will play an important role in collecting, integrating, and transforming data from a wide variety of internal and external sources into trusted datasets that support reporting, analytics, and future advanced data initiatives.

This position combines elements of Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Business Intelligence, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy working across the entire data lifecycle, from data preparation and integration to reporting and business insights.
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data integrations and pipelines across a variety of internal and external data sources.
• Connect new data sources, primarily through APIs, and load data into the Azure-based Data Warehouse environment.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and smooth operation of the data platform.
• Prepare, model, and structure data for reporting and analytical purposes.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Support the development and maintenance of Power BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and business metrics.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth of the company’s data platform, analytics capabilities, and future AI initiatives.

The Candidate

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience working with data warehouse environments.
• Experience integrating and preparing data from multiple sources, including APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or a similar BI/reporting platform.
• Understanding of data modelling and data preparation for analytics and reporting purposes.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages, preferably Python.
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments; Microsoft Azure experience is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Professional proficiency in Croatian and English.
